0608 GMT – EssilorLuxottica’s investment case remains a balancing act, analysts at Bernstein say. The Franco-Italian eyecare titan booked a slight slowdown in sales growth over the quarter through June, though management was upbeat on the prospects for growth ahead fuelled by its AI-smartglasses tie-up with tech group Meta. The category should ensure the group records a solid performance for the next year or two, Bernstein says. “What investors need to look out for is the prospect of tech-driven category disruption beyond this horizon,” the brokerage says. “This balancing act will likely make the share price prone to upswing (and downswing) moves on the back of quarterly updates like this and news flow on the tech front.” ([email protected]; @joshualeokirby)
