XRP and Bitcoin Price Prediction as Clarity Act is Dead

XRP and Bitcoin Price action remained subdued on Monday as traders assessed renewed uncertainty surrounding United States cryptocurrency legislation.

Bitcoin traded near $79,385, while XRP hovered around $1.40 after both assets surrendered modest intraday gains.

The Federal Reserve meets September 15–16 this month, placing interest rates, inflation expectations, and liquidity conditions firmly within traders’ focus.

Officials will release their policy decision on September 16, alongside updated economic projections and a scheduled press conference.

CLARITY Act Fades After Capitol Hill Insiders Declare It Dead

Former federal prosecutor Renato Mariotti said multiple lawmakers and congressional staff privately described the CLARITY Act as dead.

He said the assessment followed a recent Washington visit, although he withheld every source’s identity.

Mariotti also presented no documents, vote counts, or named statements confirming that Congress had abandoned the measure.

Senator Cynthia Lummis has warned that failure this Congress could postpone comprehensive market-structure rules until 2030.

A Senate cloture vote remains scheduled for September 15 and requires 60 votes to advance debate.

That procedure would open consideration, rather than approve the legislation itself.

Disagreements involving stablecoins, decentralized finance, and regulatory authority continue dividing supporters.

Any confirmed collapse could weigh particularly heavily on XRP, which remains sensitive to United States regulatory developments.

XRP and Bitcoin Price Prediction: Will Key Supports Hold?

The immediate support of Bitcoin is around $79,000, and more robust demand is around $77,500 in case the sellers take control.

Any prolonged decline below $77,500 may reveal $75,000 particularly when the policy makers indicate stricter financial situations.

Bulls need to recapture $80,500 to take on $82,300 and the psychologically significant $85,000 mark as per the full Bitcoin forecast report.

Breaking out above $82,300 would consolidate the recovery structure and mitigate the risk of another unsuccessful breakout.

XRP price must hold on to $1.39, and the next notable support is $1.35 as fresh regulatory selling.

The failure below $1.35 may put $1.30 within reach of the token and undermine the short-term recovery of the token.

On the other hand, buyers have to clear $1.43 and $1.46 before going to the wider $1.50 resistance range.

Spot XRP funds attracted 18.96 million in the same period, which shows that institutional demand remains strong even though the momentum is not so strong.

There were also three weeks of inflows in ether spot ETFs with net inflows of $218 million.
