XRP Price Prediction: Bears Test Crucial Support as Whales Move 1.45B Coins to Binance

Ripple (XRP) price is down by 4.3% today, August 26, to trade at $1.43 at the time of writing. The drop mirrors the drawdown across the broader crypto market, with Bitcoin (BTC) and Ethereum (ETH) also dropping by 2% and 1.7%, respectively.

XRP’s drop has pushed the price near the support at the 200-weekEMA. Meanwhile, the amount of XRP that whales have sent to Binance has risen to the highest in four months.

XRP Whale Inflows to Binance Surge

Data from CryptoQuant shows that whales have sent 1.451 XRP coins to the Binance exchange in the last 30 days. Analyst Arab Chain notes that these inflows came after whales remained muted between July and August.

The analyst also adds that these inflows by whales surged in mid-August, with this increase coinciding with the launch point of XRP’s price gains from $1 to $1.69 on August 22. However, Arab Chain says that these inflows do not suggest that whales are going to sell.

“Whales may move XRP to the platform for trading, portfolio reallocation, or to prepare for potential market movements,” the analyst said.

The rising inflows by whales to Binance also come as activity on XRPL increases, after recent CoinGape XRP price analysis observing that active addresses on the network increased by 654% from 47,180 to 356,070.

ETF Inflows Soar to 3-Month High

Data from SoSoValue shows that XRP ETFs had inflows of $23.87 million on August 25. This was the highest daily inflows recorded by the ETFs since May 2026. XRP ETFs have now recorded six straight days of inflows since August 18.

The rising ETF inflows coincide with a 43% increase in the price of XRP from $1 on August 19 to $1.43 at the time of writing. The inflows also come as demand for crypto ETFs rises, with total inflows reaching $559 million on August 25.

The monthly inflows to XRP ETFs have also reached the highest since May, as institutional buyers double down on their positions. As CoinGape reported, Goldman Sachs is now the biggest holder of XRP ETFs, with a position worth $86 million.

XRP Price Prediction as Bears Test Crucial Support Level

The price of XRP has dropped close to the support at the 200-week EMA of $1.37. If XRP drops below this support, the downtrend could continue.

In November 2024, XRP value moved from $0.50 to $2.90 after it closed above the 200-week EMA. If XRP price defends this EMA again, the uptrend that began on August 19 could continue, and the price could move to the 161.8% Fib of $2.14.

The RSI reading of 53 suggests that the momentum is still favoring bulls. Still, this RSI needs to create a higher high on the weekly chart to confirm that the bullish momentum is strong and the uptrend could continue.

If buying pressure fades and whales sell the coins that they are sending to Binance, XRP price could drop below the support at $1.37 and retest the 23.6% Fib of $1.15.
