Why is PENGU price up by15% today?

Pudgy Penguins (PENGU) price climbed 15% to $0.00947 during the past 24 hours, outperforming the broader cryptocurrency market. The token has gained over 60% this week and returned to the top 100 cryptocurrencies.

Bitcoin price hovered above $77,000, and ETH price still holds the $2,500 mark.

The weekly rise of XRP price was also continuing, adding about 50% to its gains.

PENGU Gains Attention as Pudgy Penguins Expands Across Target Stores

PENGU has surged as a result of the growing speculative interest, with daily trading volume reportedly rising by 308%. The rally indicates that investors are shifting funds into those tools that are gaining momentum as the market recovers.

PENGU is recovering about 77% from its recent local low. It has market cap of almost $728 million.

The search activity has also picked up, making PENGU one of the most searched digital assets on Birdeye. This visibility has come to the forefront of discussion after a long stint of low visibility.

No one has confirmed that any one announcement is to blame for the advance. The sentiment was bolstered with social media talk of brand expansion.

Unlike numerous meme coins, the project is not confined to the cryptocurrency space, extending its brand beyond the sphere. Pudgy Penguins plush toys were available in Target stores across the country in July.

The company creates products, cards and offline activities. These products lend PENGU a consumer story that isn’t just about the speculative memes.

The activity of the original NFT collection has returned. The weekly trading volume recently saw a boost of around 244%, indicating greater interest in the ecosystem.

The meme coin sector reached $33.6 billion after a modest 1% change. Dogecoin, Shiba Inu and Pepe had smaller gains.

How High Can PENGU Price Go?

The PENGU price traded near $0.00956 on August 24, following a strong recovery within an ascending channel.

PENGU keeps staying above the vital $0.00820 support that previously acted as a support level for the rally the following day.

If the four-hour chart shows success, it could reinforce the momentum and pave the way to the $0.0108 area.

The next higher bullish target for PENGU would be $0.0120 if there is continued demand.

However, failure to reclaim $0.0100 could keep the token consolidating around its current price during upcoming sessions.

The Relative Strength Index is at 67.41, indicating that the stock is strong but not technically over bought.

Meanwhile, the MACD line is above the signal line, indicating a generally bullish short-term market structure.

The MACD histogram has flattened to 0.000031, suggesting that the bull run is cooling off.

PENGU remains above the key $0.00820 support, which previously provided a base for the latest upward move.

A four hour close above $0.01 would help build momentum and open up a line of sight to $0.0108.

If the demand continues above that level, the next major bullish target in sight is PENGU at $0.0120.

But if it fails to reclaim $0.01, the token may continue to trade within its current range in the next sessions.

PENGU Open Interest Rises 26% as Derivatives Volume Soars 294%

PENGU derivatives activity surged by 294.05% as trading volume jumped to $666.69 million. Higher interest in the short term is indicated by the surge.

Open interest also rose 25.79% to $136.99 million in the measured period. This is an increase reflecting the growing activity in the market for outstanding positions.

Open interest increased at a slower rate than volume indicating that numerous transactions were done in the reporting period.
