Oil prices rose. Brent crude futures were up 1.3% to $89.22 a barrel Monday as U.S.-Iran tensions flared. Iranian strikes killed at least two U.S. soldiers over the weekend, and traffic through the Strait of Hormuz is at a virtual standstill. Prospects for a lasting ceasefire are dimming after numerous halting attempts at peace, raising the possibility of long-term oil-market disruption that is pushing gas prices up again in the U.S.
