U.S. stocks were slightly higher after a multibillion-dollar share offering in the semiconductor sector steadied volatility.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 149.6 points, or 0.29%, 52637.01. The broad S&P 500 advanced 31.75, or 0.42%, to 7575.39. The tech-heavy Nasdaq Composite rose 74.72, or 0.29%, to 26281.61. Gains were led by South Korean chipmaker SK Hynix 000660 -0.27%decrease; down pointing triangle on its U.S. stock-market debut.
