Binance Launches Gold, Silver Options Trading in Another Tradfi Expansion

Key Highlights

  • Binance launches regulated gold and silver options through its ADGM-regulated exchange.
  • The launch comes as Gold prices have climbed more than 30% over the past year
  • Retail traders can buy options, while institutions can also write them.

As crypto trading volumes continue to decline amid market volatility, Binance is yet again expanding into offering another asset class’s trading. This time it is Gold.

The crypto exchange has announced that it will launch regulated options contracts on gold and silver through Nest Exchange Limited, its Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM)-regulated Recognized investment Exchange. The products will allow users to trade price movements in precious metals without buying or storing physical gold or silver.

Unlike owning bullion, options give traders the right but not the obligation to buy or sell an asset at a fixed price before the contract expires. The contracts will be settled in USDT instead of physical delivery.

The exchange said the launch follows strong demand for its commodity perpetual futures introduced earlier this year.

How Binance’s New Product Works

As per its official announcement, the new contracts are European-style options, meaning they can only be exercised at expiration.

Retail users will only be allowed to purchase (long) options, limiting their maximum loss to the premium they pay. Institutional participants, meanwhile, can both buy and write options.

It is offering options instead of only perpetual futures. With this, Binance is giving traders another way to hedge portfolios or take positions on gold and silver while managing risk more efficiently.

Binance Gold Silver Options

Gold-backed ETFs have also returned to positive inflows in 2026 after several years of investor withdrawals.

Silver has also attracted investor interest. it has been supported not only by demand for safe-haven assets but also by its growing industrial use in sectors such as solar energy and electronics.

Binance Expands Beyond Crypto

The launch is part of Binance’s broader strategy to offer more traditional financial products alongside digital assets.

In last months, the exchange has expanded into areas including commodity perpetual futures, tokenized equities, institutional trading services and tokenized real-world assets. Its product bstocks has already crossed billions. The latest addition reflects a growing trend among crypto exchanges to provide access to multiple asset classes from a single platform.

As tokenization continues to bridge traditional finance and blockchain, exchanges are increasingly competing not only with crypto platforms but also with conventional brokers.

The gold and silver options become latest in its product lineup. With this, Binance now aims to serve investors looking for exposure to both digital assets and traditional markets without leaving the crypto ecosystem.
