Dogecoin Price Prediction: Analyst Maps Path to $3 as Whales Load Up
Dogecoin (DOGE) price is rising today as the broader crypto market recovers after reports that the US completed another buyback of $4 billion in bonds.
Amid these gains, an analyst now forecasts that Dogecoin price could reach $3. Whales on Hyperliquid are also opening long positions as they anticipate another uptrend.
DOGE price is up 5% today, September 25, to trade at $0.096 at the time of writing.
Analyst Forecasts Dogecoin Price Rally to $3
Analyst Tardigrade on X notes that Dogecoin price is creating a massive double bottom pattern on the weekly chart. He adds that DOGE has already bounced from the first and the second bottoms, and is now eyeing the resistance.
Tardigrade notes that if Dogecoin price can move above the double bottom’s resistance at $0.46, it could move to a new all-time high of $3.
“When a Double Bottom forms on a higher timeframe like the weekly, it signals a powerful trend reversal… and once price breaks the neckline, the measured move projects to $3,” the analyst said.
However, this bullish long-term Dogecoin price outlook has drawn skepticism from some users, who say that DOGE cannot reach $3 because of its supply of 171 billion coins that would push its market cap to $370 billion. This market cap would be higher than the current market cap for Ethereum.
Whales Load Up on Ethereum Even as ETF Inflows Ease
Data from CoinGlass shows that whales have opened $9 million in long positions on Dogecoin as they bet that the price will rise.
Whales have opened these long positions between September 22 and September 24 on Hyperliquid, with five of them already sitting on unrealized profits.
These long positions opened by whales come despite Dogecoin ETFs recording zero inflows since September 23, per data from SoSoValue.
However, Dogecoin ETFs have seen inflows of $2.08 million in the week starting September 21. This is the highest inflows that Dogecoin ETFs have seen in a single week since January 2026.
The Grayscale Dogecoin ETF has also recorded inflows of $2.68 million during the same period. This is the biggest weekly inflow that the ETF has seen since it launched in November 2025.
The inflows to Dogecoin ETFs are rising shortly after Bitwise said that it will shut down its DOGE ETF on October 14.
Dogecoin Price Gears Up for Rally Above $0.1 as Key Resistance Breaks
Dogecoin price has moved above the resistance at the 61.8% Fib of $0.095 on the four-hour chart.
The RSI line that has crossed above the signal line suggests that the momentum is favoring bulls, and Dogecoin could extend its gains.
If this uptrend continues, Dogecoin price could move above the psychological resistance at $0.10 and reach the 23.6% Fib of $0.112.
The AO bars that are green and growing in length also support a bullish Dogecoin future outlook that the price could move to $0.112.
However, if the uptrend fails because of a return of selling pressure, Dogecoin price might drop to retest the support at the 38.2% Fib of $0.088.
